Rata Cafe - Wellington

For a burger who cost over ten dollars (and closer to twenty), I was unimpressed. it was almost cold and the pattie itself was dry. added, the place was full and super busy, so I get that they must have been rushed. the service was okay as there are many waiting staff. but the place is probably more relaxed and comfortable at a quiet day during the week, if it is not so loud, and they can find a place next to the windows for the view of the green outside.

Very satisfied with the fast service here after a walk around New Zealandia with friends at the weekend. good food served quickly, which was well needed.

I was here after I had spent a few hours on the sea. bouncing vegan options on the menu. I have a vegan buddha bowl that was absolutely delicious!

Rata have updated their menu for winter with many vege options. we had vege burger and vege queensadilla, both were delicious. the new cook seems to understand vegetarian cuisine. the caffe now also has a full table service.

It may be more enjoyable to visit on a quieter day during the week, when it's not as noisy and you can sit near the windows to enjoy the view of the greenery outside.
