This was fine, but we were a bit put off by some rowdy football fans at another table. My companion needed a gluten-free, vegan meal and the only option was a baked potato with baked beans, which was okay. Since we weren't looking for a full meal, we each had a baked potato - I had tuna. Along with two glasses of lime and soda, our bill came to over 16 pounds. It seemed a bit pricey, but I guess pubs are now realizing that non-alcoholic drinks can be profitable. When our potatoes arrived, they were accompanied by the smallest salad I've ever seen, including a dried-out piece of cucumber. The potatoes were large but clearly microwaved, making them flabby and not crispy. They were also barely warm. We did receive a couple of butter portions, but no one checked in to see how our meal was. We'll try the other pub in the village next time, at the aerodrome.
We stumbled upon this quaint garden oasis after our walk and were pleasantly surprised. As new residents of Sywell, we thoroughly enjoyed the good food and service with no complaints. We will definitely be returning to dine and drink here again.
We waited for more than an hour for our food, which arrived looking less than appetizing. My meal looked like it had been sloppily thrown onto the plate, so I refused to eat it. The kids burger was overcooked and the fish meal was forgotten until we reminded them. Overall, it was not a great experience and I don't think the staff cared because no one asked us how our meal was.
I had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The dessert menu is amazing and I highly recommend trying it all.
This pub is great for families, with delicious food and beer served by friendly and professional staff.
