Here there are typical Thuringian cuisine at fair prices. The dishes taste good (we had ordered Thuringian Bratwurst or onion roast) and the service is friendly. In this place not only tourists eat, but also locals.

A nice place, if you like convenience food. Convenient for the Restaurant. All precooked and heated or simply bought in mass quantities and served. The onion soup is a bit of water with some slices of onions in it. If you speak a foreign language, don’t expect any good service. German speaker get served first. The stereotype of Thuringia at its best. Simply a shame.

My private chef friend took us here. We enjoyed the food, service and environment. I had game lunch, very tasty,. The potato ball tastes like making at the spot from scratch. The service was fast and staff would check if anything needed several times.

We had to wait for a bit longer than usual, but it's because they are understaffed (covid reasons). Nevertheless this fact was at least fully outweighed by the friendliness of the people working there. Once everything was ordered, we didn't have to wait long to see our delicious food arrive. It was really really tasty. The portions were perfect I'd say. I can really recommend this place. You don't have to worry if you're vegetarian, there are likewise delicious options.

Absolute top in the regional cuisine. I spent a week in Thuringia and Sächsischer Hof was definitely the number one in its category, especially in the quality of Klößen.
