The concept and many of the menu items are Spanish or Spanish inspired, and are...actually quite loyal to the original concept. I was invited here for dinne one vening, and when we arrived the place seemed vacant, but after half an hour the place filled up. We shared some tapas as starters, which was well composed, fresh and tasty. The wine was a white from Conca de Barbera just outside Barcelona, which had exactly the right balance between fruit and acidity. As main course I had the lamb rack, which was local produce, I was told. It was very tender and succulent and braised to a perfect light rose colour we stayed with the same white for the main course and it could easily bear the meat. The service was nice and helpful, but I would suggest that a slightly deeper knowledge of the wines on the wine list, would be helpful for people not that much into wine. Recommendable place for dinner
The restaurant is very romantic and quiet. It’s a great place for a date. The tapas we had were delicious! My husband and I brought our month old daughter along. She was a little chatty, but our server was very attentive and made sure...that we were take care of
We had a bit of trouble finding the place and from outside it didn't look much. But as soon as they enter the door, everything changes. the device is raised and slightly artistic. I recommend to dress up as the restaurant is obviously intended for special occasions. on a Tuesday night, however, it did not seem to play a role as the restaurant was completely empty. the menu is Germanized Spanish cuisine. it is very similar to what they find in other restaurants in Spanish style. they offer tapas, salads, main dishes, daily meals and desserts. they also have a beautiful wine card and I can recommend their home wine in glass. the food was well prepared. the shrips in garlic oil were good, but the cheese filled mushrooms were incredible! I had the fish plate and found it very well prepared. 5 different types of fish prepared in 5 different styles. I was a bit disappointed by that. it seemed hardly more than mayonnaise, but at least it was aside and I could ignore it. as dessert I can recommend the cherry mango sorbet. the presentation was pleasing and the sweet aromas were a wonderful conclusion. overall we enjoyed our cozy and romantic dinner very much. everything was right. if the restaurant was full, it might have been a little annoying as it became cozy too narrow. Moreover, the outside area of the restaurant could be more beautiful.
This is a great place for a quiet night or a date. eating is excellent and very fresh. I was already in barcelona and can honestly say that the polenta in casa andalusia can keep with some of the best! the wine card is not big, but what they have is quality and can easily be combined with the menu. the personal is very friendly and patient with my bad German! I have a friend who was here and thought it was expensive, I don't agree. the main menu points cost in average about 15-20 euro and I found the quality is worth it. I can definitely recommend Andalusia.
Up to our recent visit casa andalusien was our favorite restaurant in weiden. we have been eating here regularly for 12 years. our visit to this weekend was so bad that we will not return. the waitress was difficult to treat and the chief (manager) was. even worse. we ask ourselves if there is a new owner and/or management. it was so different from the past. eating was not as good as usual. the prices have risen somewhat. the waitress and the management were rude and indecent. a so disappointing experience.
