This is my new favourite Japanese restaurant in more ways than one. Excellent service, cheap and affordable prices and amazing food quality. Best price for salmon sushi ever ! And every single buffet item was scrumptious.
Went to this place to have a la carte but didn't know they have an option of AYCE. I started with rock shrimp because every review had rock shrimp mentioned on it, and I must say it was the best dish. Try the rock shrimp with spicy mayo. <br/ <br/ Ordered many different sushis from Dynamite roll to Spicy Salmon roll and I can say that everything was fresh and tasted good. <br/ <br/ The servers were prompt and alert, loved the service. <br/ <br/ I would definitely come to this place. The only reason I gave them a 3.5 star is because of the ambience.
Food was great and so was the service. Love the all you can eat for one reasonable price. Atmosphere and decor was nice and the place was clean. I will definitely come back.
Amazing Experience!. We had come here on a Saturday evening at around 6:00 pm for the AYCE. When we walked-in, there were only two other tables with guests however, it looked to be that they were opting for the take-out as opposed to the dine-in option. We were immediately greeted by a server, who asked us how many people would be in our party. We told her four; she then asked us if we would like the corner booth or the booth in the middle near the wall. We told her that we would like the booth in the middle near the wall; she then brought us to the booth, then placed the menus in front of us. <br/ <br/ Unlike many other AYCE places in the area, this one doesn’t have the iPad ordering option however, there was a nicely put-together menu, with many sheets of paper and a pen placed in a container on the table. The ordering procedure was easy, with us indicating how many of each item that we had wanted on the paper. The server had immediately placed cups of Green Tea on the table as soon as we had sat down, which was refilled consistently throughout the evening. <br/ <br/ After we had received our beverages, we decided to start by ordering our Appetizers first, then move on to the Sushi, Maki Rolls, Hand Rolls, and Sashimi. We began with Seaweed Salad, Miso Soup, Deep Fried Dumplings, Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki, Cheese Wonton, Rock Shrimp, Sweet Potato Fries, Shrimp Tempura, and Golden Breaded Shrimp. Once we had finished filling out our sheet, the server came over right-away to take it from us. The items came out fairly quickly, which we thought was great as we were starving at that point. All of the items were placed on beautifully-shaped plates, which were appealing to the eye. I loved the fan-shaped plates, they were unique, something that I had never seen before. <br/ <br/ All of the items that we had tried were delicious, especially the Cheese Wonton, they were hot (temperature wise), oozing with cheese, and crispy from the oven, which made me want more. (I ended up ordering another order later on in the evening). The Rock Shrimp were also amazing, with a zesty lemon sauce, which tasted phenomenal! I loved the Sweet Potato Fries as they came with a small dish of Dipping Sauce, with them tasting hot and crispy, just the way they should be! All of the items were fresh, and presented beautifully on the dishes. Also, our server came to collect the dishes frequently, which allowed us to have more room on the table for incoming items. <br/ <br/ We then decided to order the Sushi and Sashimi items. For the Maki Rolls, we had ordered the Green Dragon and Chicken Teriyaki. For the House Special Rolls, we had ordered the Las Vegas and Rock. For the Hand Rolls, we had ordered the Dynamite and Avocado. For the Sashimi, we had ordered the Salmon, White Tuna, and the Red Snapper. These items took a bit longer to prepare however, we were occupied finishing up our first order. After the items had arrived, we were unsure where to place all of the dishes as there were quite a bit of items. However, the server came by and took the empty dishes immediately, helping us to place a few different items on one dish in order to create space.<br/ <br/ All of the items that we had ordered were once again, placed beautifully on the dishes. The Green Dragon was beautifully decorated, with Avocado Slices placed on top, with just the perfect amount of texture. The Las Vegas was a bit spicy, but, we were warned in the menu that it would be spicy so, we sort of expected that. It was also deep-fried, which I loved! The Rock was delicious, the Cream Cheese inside made the roll taste scrumptious! We loved all of the Hand Rolls that we ordered as they were fresh, and nicely-wrapped. The Sashimi were also beautifully sliced, with freshness being tasted in every bite. We were VERY impressed with how well all of the fish items tasted, which can be a rarity in the AYCE restaurants.<br/ <br/ Once we had finished our main dishes, we were ready for dessert. We tried the Green Tea, Chocolate, Red Bean, and Mango Ice Cream. We also tried the Deep Fried Banana, the Cheesecake, and the Mango Pudding. All of the items came out quickly, and the ice cream was creamy, but not too creamy, and not rock-hard like some of the other AYCE places that I had been to. The Deep Fried Banana was perfect, with the hot temperature and syrup poured on top making it taste immaculate. <br/ <br/ Once we had finished our dessert, we had asked for the bill, which came out to $112 for the four of us (it was $24.95 per person for dinner on the weekends). We asked if we could split the bill three ways, which the server gladly did. My husband and I ended up having a bill of $58, which we thought was reasonable considering the great service and even better food that we had received. <br/ <br/ We were surprised however to see that this place was virtually empty, with only three tables occupied for the entire time that we were there. I would HIGHLY encourage all of you to give Moon Sushi a try, it is one of those hidden gems that people are unsure of however, it will certainly impress you. I would most certainly go back, and will tell others about it! Thanks Moon Sushi for a great experience!
