Damson - Weatherfield

Based right in the middle of Media City, the restaurant couldn't be in a trendier setting. I hadn't had a chance to check out the development since the BBC moved in but the entire project has been a triumph. Walking to the restaurant took me back to when we lived in London. The whole area made me feel as if there should have been a tube stop somewhere near and had that lively 24 hour atmosphere you get down in the capital.

Media City has been far too long without a good restaurant; it now has a great one in Damson. This is the one she’s waited for. One love.

Welcoming staff, plush surroundings and an excellent standard of cooking to boot. I heard good things about Damson; they weren't wrong.

Lights, camera, action, Media City here we come! I was really looking forward to visiting Damson’s newest restaurant having already reviewed Damson in Heaton Moor (one of my favourite restaurants).

For mains we had a starter Grilled Scallops, slow cooked Middle White pork belly, Bury black pudding croquette, spiced apple purée golden raisin.
