The Lamb Piltdown - Wealden

The New Year's Day meal was amazing as usual. I should definitely visit The Lamb more frequently. The food, drinks, and staff were all fantastic.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way home from Sheffield Park for lunch because our usual stop, the Bull at Newick, was closed for renovations. We will definitely be coming back here next time because it was a lovely experience. The restaurant has a nice size car park and we were greeted with a friendly welcome from the staff as soon as we walked in. The decor of the pub is my kind of style - muted colors, wooden tables, tasteful decor, and lots of clocks and an amazing Bar Billiards Table. There was a nice selection of drinks to choose from and both a menu and a snack menu available. We chose to sit in the more relaxed seating area but the formal area looked very nice as well. There is a real fire, although it wasn't on today as it was warm outside, but we will definitely be coming back to experience it. We had a wonderful Ploughman's and a smoked salmon sandwich that were fresh and filling. The Christmas menu looked nice as well as the regular menu, and we are already planning our next visit. First visit today for a lovely Sunday roast! Food was amazing staff were pleasant and the place is lovely itself! Definitely recommend! We will return

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the home smoked dishes, which were exceptional. The atmosphere was great - very relaxing and welcoming. Thank you for making our visit so special for the both of us.
