The sandwiches and scones were absolutely delicious, and the afternoon tea was a delightful experience. I also brought home some freshly made Cornish pasties for my husband, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, along with the helpful and friendly staff, made for a wonderful dining experience. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the UK and will be recommending this tearoom to my friends.
My friend and I have visited this restaurant for afternoon tea multiple times and it never fails to impress. The value for money is unbeatable - there are plenty of freshly-made sandwiches, 2 scones each, and some delicious small cakes. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you.
My partner and I enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea for two. We had a nice assortment of fresh sandwiches, two scones each, and some sweet treats. However, I must admit that the sweet treats did not seem homemade, which was a bit disappointing. They may have been from the 'Iceland frozen dessert range'. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable. The restaurant is small inside, which I find a bit uncomfortable as everyone can hear your conversation, but that's just my personal preference. There is a lovely fish tank inside that kept my child entertained while we ate.
You can’t go wrong with afternoon tea here at this lovely friendly tea room….freshly made sandwiches and scones with some lovely sweet treats. Lovely girls serving.
Set in an old cottage in the high street this is a classic English tea room with friendly staff and a very reasonably priced menu. They also sell bread and cakes and possibly the best bread pudding in Sussex
