Tap Room Sports Grill - Waynesville

We visited here a couple of time during our recent stay. In most cases we found the food to be decent. The service and the taste mostly made up for the fact that they were our of fresh Spinach (twice) Since you are sharing space with a bar and multiple televisions you seldom wish to linger for conversation after eating but it was not overly loud.

Just had supper ! Delicious! Service great! Food delicious. Atmosphere great! Didn't have to leave Waynesville Inn for a delicious meal. Menu was affordable with lots of options . I posted pictures in photos .

I discovered a hidden gem in Waynesville. Creative menu, part pub, part fine dining. Alex waited on us and was very patient with our questions and special requests. The Cajun chicken Alfredo was wonderful and is on the menu. The spaghetti and meatballs was a special, homemade by the chef and was enjoyed by a sauce and meatball snob. Most items are made by the chef, including the chewy, dense and delicious brownie. Can't wait to go back to try the burgers.

My wife and I have been quite a few times (we are locals). Though it is at a country club, it's not as expensive as you might think. The food has always been great, the wait staff attentive and polite and the drinks well mixed. The atmosphere is pretty nice though the windows can be drafty when it is cold outside (which is all the time in the winter around here) so if you are cold natured, you may want to sit at an interior table. As a bonus, lots of flat screen televisions mounted on the walls at strategic locations in the dining room and at the bar. You can always catch the game. Just wish they had HD...would not be that hard...

Fun unexpected find. A good little restaurant on a cold winter day. We went looking for the Cork and Cleaver but it was closed for the Winter. This little place is the food back up. Good tap beer. We were here in the afternoon but it looked like this place might turn into a vibrant location for late night and somewhat older folks. We will return.
