Amici's Italian - Waynesville

This is the second year we've celebrated Valentine's Day here, and both times we've had Judy as our waitress. She is an absolute delight! The food is incredibly delicious, from the appetizers to the dessert. Be sure to plan ahead and make reservations, especially on weekends.

The atmosphere is welcoming, but unfortunately, the hostess was not. She might have been the owner, but we weren't greeted at all and weren't asked if we had been there before. It took her quite a while to seat us, as she seemed to be wandering around the restaurant. Eventually, she stopped at the first table by the entrance to chat with some regulars, even though there were plenty of open tables available. Once we were seated, our server explained the specials and took our drink order, but then there was a long wait for our drinks to arrive. Unfortunately, the service only got worse from there. We had to ask multiple times for drink refills, and at one point, I even went to the bar to request them myself. When our food arrived, we asked for parmesan and bread, but we waited an additional 15 minutes for those because our server seemed too distracted by chatting with the regulars and the other staff. She was pacing around, making faces, and tossing her hair. When the bill came, I noticed the server hurried off to get my change and rolled her eyes at me. Overall, the food is definitely worth it, but be prepared for potentially poor service, and this doesn’t seem to be due to pandemic-related issues or staffing shortages.

My husband and I have become regular patrons of Amici's, and we always have an amazing experience. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is exceptional. My favorite dish is the Chicken Frances, which I tend to order at nearly every Italian restaurant, but Amici's offers the best version I've ever had! The Eggplant Rollatini is so delightful that my husband chose it as his main course during our last visit. The staff, including all the servers and their assistants, are always friendly and attentive. We can't wait to dine there again in the future!

My family just moved to the area yesterday and since our place is in chaos we looked for a local place to get dinner. We picked the best place tonight. Amici 's is authentic Italian food. Hands down some of the best Italian food I 've ever had. Everything from the soup and salads, the main course to the dessert was absolutely delicious. Not only was the food amazing, but they made us feel so welcome. Even though we were very under dressed, they made us feel so comfortable. My 7 year old daughter said... well I think we found our new favorite restaurant! I really don 't think you can go wrong with anything you order!

THE BEST ITALIAN YOU CAN GET!! Judy was a fantastic server and the food was so delicious. It was obvious everything was freshly made in house. This is my new favorite place to go, 100
