The At Forest Lodge - Waverley

We have just visited for lunch. Hopeful of the carvery we were extremely disappointed when we saw a poor choice of food with dried up unappetising sides to go with the one meat choice of turkey. Prior to Haskins taking over, the food here was...always excellent. We chose paninis which came with a small amount of salad, coleslaw which whilst tasty was difficult to eat and some reasonable tasting chips. The paninis were heavy on the bread and light on the fillings. Two of these and two cold drinks were over twenty two pounds. Prohibitive prices and poor quality in general of everything that I saw on display means that we will not return. I would also echo the comments from others about many uncleared dirty tables. It’s very sad that the standards have declined to this level.

There are 2 foods q's. a cake, the other hot breakfast. I'm fine. but there is only one place to order and pay hot drinks. So they have their hot breakfadt they have to go to the other line. his soou long that when they get on the table and on the table, their hot breakfast is stone cold with sogy toast! not exactly a victor haskins.

Good place to have a walk from, business and caffe after we drop our children to visit birdworld (the old enough on own faust), and go for a walk in alice fetched over the street. come back, make a few garden center shopping and...then lunch. great day for everyone.

The food was extremely dry and unappealing. It seems like they offer a variety of sandwiches with different fillings. The fries tasted like they were reheated and had been sitting for a few days. The staff seemed uninterested and this was not the first time we were disappointed. The only redeeming factor was the coffee. Once we ordered and paid for our drinks, they were cold, which suggests a poorly executed self-service system. I question if any of the management team has actually eaten at the restaurant.
