Farnham Park - Waverley

Booked here for mother in laws anniversary dinner. They served us very well and the food was very good. We will go again for a normal dinner.

First visit to the café. We didn't get to try the food as it was really busy and no seats available. I was with a buggy and 2 toddlers. When we walked in, no one greeted us, there was massive tables reserved but no one...once came up to me to show me to an available table or talk to me. I just gathered the children and left.

A nice cafe in the park that will welcome you and your dog (with a free biscuit or two! Serves the typical cafe fare, hot cold, nothing fancy, but great value. Ideal place to visit after you've explored the park.

The three of us had lunch here after our grandson had played 9 holes on the par 3 course. We have been here several times before. This is a typical simple cafe building situated at the edge of the golf course. Some outside tables overlooking...the golf course. Licensed. Dog friendly. A good range of cafe hot and cold food, drinks, snacks and cakes; all at reasonable prices. We all had paninis which each come with two generous fillings plus some salad and crisps garnish enjoyable. The kitchen is open for all to see. I suspect that the cafe is staffed by volunteers as the ordering and service is somewhat chaotic at times, albeit friendly and helpful they could probably benefit from a second chef at peak times as there can be delays. It was very pleasing to see that in July 2016 this small cafe achieved a FSA Food Hygiene Rating of 5, the maximum probably not so easy to achieve in the rather restricted facilities. Overall a good place to stop if you are using the park.
