The Cornish Bakery - Waveney

Since its opening last year, this restaurant has become our weekly indulgence during lockdown. I cannot recommend it highly enough - all the dishes are fantastic and I can't choose a favorite.

We had a great view of The Box from our vacation rental and enjoyed watching the various pop-up restaurants change over. They always seemed to be busy, with a line of people waiting. We decided to try the Saturday morning bakery and it was fantastic. The malted sourdough we purchased was unbelievably delicious, as were the penny buns and bostock pastries. It's definitely worth a visit, but make sure to come early as it gets busy and popular items sell out quickly.

I am delighted to see this restaurant thriving. After enjoying some muffins on a previous visit, we decided to try the salads today, which were ideal for a hot summer day. They were delicious! The staff were friendly and provided excellent service while also prioritizing safety during these challenging times. Keep up the great work and thank you for a wonderful lunch.

Don't miss this on a Saturday morning! A wide range of sweet and savoury treats, including the best chocolate cookies I've ever tasted and delicious pain au chocs. There are always new and interesting concoctions made with passion. Get there as early as possible.To the 1 star review below what a mean spirited and unreasonable review. It's a pop up shop which closes when stock is sold out. It isn't a cafe, so if you want an artisan coffee then go elsewhere? It's also only open on a Saturday. If it is open on a Sunday like you say, then all the better for the rest of us.
