Lindy's Landing And Marina - Wauconda

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my partner. Although it’s still under construction, it has a charming atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly, and the food and drinks were fantastic! I definitely plan to return in the summer!

Great way after the renovation to enjoy Summer 2022 and the menu is still a classic.

Me and my wife came here for the first time the other week. We are looking for a place to have a nice dinner and drinks for her birthday, so we wanted to see what this place was about. When we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but that was just fine as she found us an empty table anyways! The place was fairly busy, almost every table full, so we were happy to have a spot. We ordered drinks first, our server was fantastic! We then ordered our meal, I had the Cuban, and my wife had the coconut shrimp. It took a little bit to come out, but I am a very understanding person during these times and I was aware of how busy they were and how short staffed they might be(just like everywhere else is). No problem though because we had time for another drink, which was great! Food came out and my wife's was perfect, but my potatoes and Cuban were warm at best, again, I am a very understanding person and was just going to box it up and have it as a late night snack or lunch the next day. The server came by and asked why I haven't eaten much, I told her and she was shocked. She was astonished that I hadn't tried to say anything to her, she insisted on getting me a new plate. And boy am I glad she did! My new plate was out in less than 10 minutes, with a fresh drink! By far that was one of the best Cubans I have had around here, almost anywhere to be honest! Super juicy pork, aioli with the mustard was spot on, the pickles were fresh and crispy and added a nice freshness to the sandwich! I couldn't ask for anything more! The service was amazing, food was amazing, atmosphere off of the lake is absolutely amazing! Definitely will be going back!!!

We felt a bit let down by this restaurant. The food and drinks were just average. The highlight of this place is definitely its location; your kids can enjoy playing in the water on the beach while you wait for your meal. If the food had more flavorful options, this could be a much more vibrant spot.

I always enjoy the atmosphere at Lindy's. The service is quick, even during busy times. The views of the lake and beach are wonderful. The calamari had a nice breading. The tuna tartare was decent; it could have benefited from a marinade or sauce, but the portion was generous. The Cuban sandwich was delicious.
