Lemon Grass - Watford

We arrived at the restaurant and ordered a variety of starters and main dishes for three of us. While most of the dishes were okay, I must say that I have had better elsewhere. Among the dishes we ordered was the lamb with spring onions, which unfortunately was quite tough to chew. When I mentioned this to a lady who claimed to be the owner, she refused to acknowledge the issue and even tried a piece herself, insisting that there was nothing wrong with it. Despite being willing to order another dish, the owner was rude and dismissive, showing no concern for my feedback. This behavior made me question what other questionable practices might be taking place behind the scenes. I later discovered that the restaurant has a food hygiene rating of 3 out of 5, which in my opinion is not acceptable. All restaurants should strive to operate at the highest standards.

We had a wonderful takeout meal from Lemon Grass. Each dish was cooked to perfection and came in generous portions. I can confidently say that this is the best food I have had in years. We will definitely be ordering from here again and highly recommend others to do the same.

Yesterday, my group of seven dined at this restaurant after a long day at WB Studios. We were all hungry and excited for a good meal to cap off a great day. The service was decent, although I have had better at McDonald's. We didn't have to wait long for our food and most of it was very enjoyable. The dishes that were slightly disappointing were based on personal preference, so it wasn't a reflection on the restaurant itself. The bill was reasonable at just over £160 for seven people, but we were surprised to see a service charge added. When we requested to pay the total amount minus the service charge (as we prefer to decide our own tip amount), the waitress became defensive and asked for a reason why. I explained that it was optional to pay the service charge, as it is in most restaurants unless stated otherwise. The waitress seemed unhappy and as we left, we were ignored by some of the staff who were gathered by the reception desk. It was a bit disappointing as we had been looking forward to dining there and it put a bit of a damper on the end of our day.

We visited yesterday for an early evening meal, very good food and excellent service and the price was amazing, will certainly be returning soon.

We visited here at lunchtime, as our usual restaurant was closed. It will now be added to our list of favourites! We were warmly greeted, and given a choice of main menu and set menu, (which was excellent value, and included a drink! . The starters were a generous portion, very tasty, and hot. The main course was also very tasty, and so big a portion, that there was enough to take home for supper! Thakyou for a wonderful meal!
