The Winchester - Waterville

The best pizza you can find anywhere! If you enjoy spicy foods, be sure to ask for their homemade spicy pepper to add to your pizza. A little bit makes a huge difference, and it's absolutely fantastic! I will definitely be coming back regularly!

Our server didn’t check in on us during the meal (which I would have mentioned), but she did keep our beverage refills coming. The following day, I reheated the steak in the microwave and it was delicious. My daughter ordered a lava cake for dessert, but what we received was essentially a frozen chocolate puck on the plate. We noticed this as soon as we got to the bar, but since our server didn’t check on us after dropping it off, we didn’t have the opportunity to address it. We spent over $150 on our dinner, which was a significant amount, considering the experience. We've typically had great experiences at The Winchester (hence the 4 stars), so I assume the busyness of the night and the limited menu might have contributed to the shortcomings. We plan to return, as the prime rib has always been phenomenal. I also regret having to bring these issues up. I’m confident our next visit will be a 5-star experience, and I’ll update my review accordingly. Interestingly, the manager reached out to me on Facebook regarding my rating, prompting me to revise my review and add more detail.

Every time I visit The Winchester, I have nothing but an excellent experience. The food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch. They offer a fantastic atmosphere, and the quality of the food is impressive. I will definitely keep coming back!
