Have eaten at Dempsey’s several times on our way to the lake. Love the pizza and service has usually been great. Tonight, July 17, 2024, our table server was great but the bartender did a poor job. We had a question on a particular beer and our server had to wait a long time before the bartender acknowledged our server and answered our question. Later, we ordered s second beer and we waited so long that we finished our meal and canceled the beer order. The bartender was polishing the bottles behind the bar, which apparently took precedent over serving customers. Our server apologized for the delays and tried to protect the bartender but there was an inference that there is an unresolved problem with the bartender. Incidentally, the restaurant was not that busy, perhaps 50% of capacity, and customers were not waiting to be seated.

This place is fun with great food great customer service. We started coming here out of the blue and just loved the place. The angry cheese curds were amazing I wish they would make it an option again!!!! And the angry dragon pizza was the best pizza!

So. So. Sooo good, I got the pierogis and they were honestly the best thing I ate all weekend I was here in SD. Also amazing steak bites for the appetizers. I loved this place. Would love to come back next time I'm in town.

The food is great and the service was even better. The pepperoni pizza was delicious, and so was the salad. Our server was very nice and attentive, I will definitely be back!
