St Louis Bar And Grill - Waterloo

We all know what to expect from this type of restaurant: decent food for a decent price.BUT, on our last visit, cleanliness was not their forte: dirty floors, tables and chairs. The tables were not properly cleaned from previous customers, food and straws on the floor and sticky chairs.Even it was close to 30 degrees outside, the AC was not on.Of course you don't expect luxury from a pub style place, but at least you expect it to be clean. Very disappointed.

Stopped in to watch a hockey game on a Monday night. Good food, good atmosphere and reasonable pricing. On the down side the seating was the most uncomfortable I've ever sat in and the waitress wasn't at her best. I can say the wings were pretty good thou.

Nachos were good ....service a little slow as we had to get our plates once the nacho's arrived at our table

Stopped in with a friend for dinner on a Wednesday night around 6:00 and the bar was hopping. Music was up and a large group in the bar gave the restaurant a Friday late night feel. Good vibe however, fairly loud for chatting over dinner. Recommend sitting in the back room for a quieter experience. Service was excellent, server was friendly, attentive and food came out quickly once we ordered. Wednesday is $5.00 burger night, a great deal for a good burger with a side of fries. A drink purchase is required however, any drink qualifies (great for those that are driving). Friend ordered crispy fish tacos. Tacos were a good size and came with a side of tortilla chips. Overall a good experience.

My husband and I have been to St Louis several times and have had good service. It's a small place but the food is good. Our favs are their St Louis Wing Poutine (I like it with Buffalo Wing sauce) and their Garlic Dill Chicken Burger (with the breaded chicken option). Another good choice is their pulled pork sandwich. The only meal we weren't impressed with is their chicken fingers which were very bland. Overall a good place to stop for a bite and a beer.
