Bridge Street Kitchen - Waterloo

This is a neighbourhood place and we regularly walk here for breakfast. Even if I couldn’t walk here, I would be a frequent customer due to their excellent Eggs Benedict. Today they had a Bacon and Avocado Eggs Benedict special and it was delicious! The others ordered the daily breakfast special and the eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, beans and potatoes were delicious too. Hot coffee was served quickly and refilled. The restaurant was busy but we were seated as soon as we arrived and service was friendly.

Small restaurant was packed when we got there but only a short wait to be seated. We both ordered coffee and my wife ordered the Canadian Benny for eggs and I settled on the Canadian Omelette. Our meals were shortly coming and a very nice presentation on the plates and the meals looked good. My wife's breakfast as she put it was very tasty and included a fruit salad. My omelette was done to perfection and very tasty along with the whole wheat toast. I did find the potatoes fries very salty and since I have a salt problem, I left them alone. I did like the beans. All in all a very good meal and we will be back. Breakfast for the two of us was $33.40 plus tip and worth it..

I have visited this restaurant many times and now feel like I am part of the atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious, hot, and delivered quickly. The service is always top-notch, with professional and friendly staff who have been helpful every single visit. Despite becoming busy due to its popularity through word-of-mouth, the staff remains courteous and efficient. This restaurant definitely deserves five stars.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by three waitresses who gestured for us to take a seat. They brought us menus and coffee, but took a while to return to our table. The manager or owner came out and inquired about our experience, and a waitress informed us that the internet was down. She took our order but never returned. Another waitress delivered our food and coffee, and she was the most attentive of the three. After finishing our meal, we waited for our bill and eventually had to go up to the counter to ask for a container for our leftovers. It was only then that our bill was brought to us. Despite the food being good, the service was lacking. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return to this restaurant.

Great food for both breakfast and lunch. They have a great selection of Eggs Benedict and they make the Benedict sauce from scratch. Good portions on everything!
