Horrendous experience! Never will I ever return. I called an ordered three to-go orders and was told on the phone to give them “about 15 min.” I arrived at the 20 min mark. The place was busy due to an event ending next door, however not one server acknowledged me waiting at the bar to pick up my order for a solid 15 minutes. I had to lean over the counter and say “I’m here to pick up an order.” Another ten minutes passed and finally someone came back and told me that they were sorry but it would be another 10-15 min. I was not pleased but decided to wait. As I was waiting a guy came up to the bar wanting to buy a drink….no one helped him for a solid 10 min. He went back to a lounge chair and tried again later. I bet it was a 30 min wait for a beer for him. In the meantime, it had now been an HOUR that I was waiting for my food that I was told 15 min for TWICE! Still no update on why so long, I had to ask “has my order even been started.” The few staff there were stressed to the max, but again, no update from staff until I pulled a guy that was working on drinks aside and asked again “has my food even been started.” He responded with “I don’t even work here, I’m just trying to be a good guy and help out.” Then a “owner” came up to me and tried her best to sincerely apologized and told me that “no, the food had not been started as they didn’t have by ticket.” However, they already had me pay for my food 30 minutes prior!! I waited in that bar for over ONE HOUR on a to go order that was ordered 1.25 hours previously and was told it would be 15 minutes more TWICE!!! End result I got my money back and left with no supper. Absolutely ridiculous. If the staff is in such disarray, the kitchen needs closed until you can catch up. It is also not safe to have people working there and serving food/drinks if they don’t actually work there. Staff was miserable, some downright rude and unapologetic. I will NEVER return.

Ordered online for takeout super easy! Walked in and it was all ready. Brisket sandwich with the j sauce and the candied bacon BLT both excellent! Some napkins in your takeout would be nice though we were headed to a park for a picnic lunch.

Came here last night for dinner and I liked the beer, food, ambiance, and staff so much I decided to come back again today for lunch today. Excellent selection of beer. The bartender (Shelby) gave excellent recommendations. She knows her beer. I started off looking for Iowa-brewed and tried an Easy Eddy Big Groove. It had a great crispy citrusy flavor that was perfect after a hot day. For dinner last night I had a1/2 rack of baby back ribs, homemade chips, and broccoli. The meal was great (loved the bbq sauce) and their broccoli was a surprise favorite. They add in a little butter and some garlic and it took plain ol' broccoli up to a new level. Yum! Shelby was both bartender and food server and she was great! She is very knowledgeable about the beers they serve and as a server she was very attentive and made sure I had what I needed. For lunch today I had the panko-crusted pork tenderloin with chips. I could cut the tenderloin with a fork, it was so juicy and tender. I went in fairly close to opening both days so it was nice and quiet which is what I was hoping for. It seems to pick up later in the evening. At the moment they are closed on Sundays but that changes when football season starts. This place is larger than it first appears and has about 12 large tv's but thankfully they were turned down a bit so they didn't distract me during my meal (I enjoyed watching Lacrosse national finals though). There are pool tables, and a couple electronic dart boards. This gaming area has a large picture window that looks into the enclosed pool area of the Best Western Plus Executive Residency hotel to which it's attached. However, GR Kitchen Taps has entrances coming off Commercial so you don't have to walk through the hotel entrance to get in. Very nice patio for outdoor dining. Peanuts in the shell are by the entrance and there's a popcorn machine between the bar and some comfy-looking couches. Great prices (my pints of beer were $6 each) If you're a guest at the hotel, be forewarned that meals drinks cannot be charged to your room. Ample street parking (there's meters so check to see if they stop charging after a certain hour) and large parking garage across the street. Definitely worth swinging in. I bet this place is fantastic to watch the games though. That will be in my agenda (along with more craft beer and some of their delicious eats).

Today was my son’s 6th birthday and he got to pick where he wanted to eat. He chose GR. Being that I used to work there and quit I called ahead to make sure it was ok to come in and eat. Was given the ok so we took him. We get there and there’s a full bar and about 5 tables. One server. So I already understood it might take a little longer for service. But 10 minutes before I’m even asked what I want to drink is kinda crazy. We get our drinks everyone’s cool we’re waiting on the server to come take our order. FINALLY 25 minutes later we’re asked our order. $100 worth of food ordered ok. One of which was an appetizer and 2 of them were desserts for the birthday boy. PRAY TELL why 1hr later we ask what’s going on and our food hasn’t even been STARTED. And we haven’t even been checked on besides the drink and food order. My sons whining about being hungry while trying not to fall asleep. None of us adults ate because we had been at work all day so we were starving too. So I ask to speak to the manager. Instead of the manager coming to speak to us she told the server to tell us she voided our whole ticket because she was “too busy”. We ended up leaving with no food no apology nothing. 0/10 VERY UNACCEPTABLE!
