Mr Wok Chinese Buffet - Waterbury

"My experience was a bit disappointing. The food was somewhat cold, which is surprising since it’s supposed to be kept warm under a heat lamp. The booth I sat in was loose and ended up coming off the floor when I tried to get up, and I’m not even a big person. I paid $18.37 for just one plate of food, which feels a bit steep. The restaurant itself is in disrepair; while it's fairly clean, it definitely needs new booths, a new ceiling, and new floors to improve the overall atmosphere. In my opinion, Watertown China Buffet is a better option. I hope this feedback is helpful."

I've been to many buffets, but this one didn't impress me. As soon as you walk in, it's clear that the place is in desperate need of renovation. The food is just okay; some dishes were overcooked, and I noticed that a few of my favorite items were missing. Although I was able to serve myself while wearing gloves and a mask, I found that one of the bars and the hibachi section were closed. The overall ambiance is dark and quite uninviting. I gave it 2 stars because the customer service was decent, but I probably won't return or recommend it to anyone. I've had much better experiences elsewhere. It felt like we were being served leftovers from the night before with some of the dishes. I also suggest avoiding the bathrooms before you eat, as they will definitely make you reconsider. Overall, I would advise searching for a better option. This place is a definite no-go.

I usually don't write reviews, but this experience compelled me to share my thoughts. The sushi was clearly left out for an extended period; the salmon and other items had a dry appearance, which was unappetizing. While the tables were clean, the pink walls revealed a haphazard paint job with uneven patches, and in some areas of the back room, it appeared that mold was forming. There was a caution sign in the buffet area, likely due to cracked ceramic floors. Additionally, the grout in the tile was unclean and unpleasant to look at. The other food was acceptable, but it's evident that items that aren't popular tend to sit out for longer than they should.

This place used to be good but last 2 times I've come it's gone down hill. The plates are sticky and clearly not washed right (found stuck on rice on some of them) the food was cold but decent. I'm not coming back again.

Food was tasted like it was cooked the day before, it was cold even on the hot serving line...idk how. Waitress was nice. Food selection was not great at lunch. Slightly better deal if you like seafood and sushi.
