Lakewood Lanes - Waterbury

This was my second visit in the last six months. The lanes are fine, but if you plan to order hot food, make sure to do so well after 6:00 PM. During my first visit, we didn't receive our food until after we had finished, and we had to request a reimbursement. On my second visit, we finally got our food just as we were finishing two games of bowling with a group of six.

I take my low-functioning autistic nephew bowling because he enjoys it. I started visiting Lakewood Lanes a few weeks ago since our previous bowling alley changed its summer hours. The first three weeks were great, and they charged him $11 per hour to bowl. He doesn't always use the full hour, as he decides when he's had enough. However, today when I approached the counter, a woman informed me that the price would be $16.50 for him to bowl. I explained that he had always been charged $11, but she claimed we had been undercharged. I'm not sure if that's the case, but I believe there should be a special rate for disabled individuals, regardless of whether their disability is physical or intellectual. It's not worth it for me to pay $16.50 if he might decide to stop bowling after just 15 minutes.

We recently celebrated a birthday party at Lakewood Lanes in Waterbury, CT, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly towards everyone, making sure to pay special attention to the guest of honor and all attendees. I was particularly impressed by how clean the venue was and the renovations done to the bowling alley. The pizza was satisfying and served hot. Overall, it was a delightful family-friendly outing. The bar was well-stocked and ready to serve, and the arcade games were entertaining with great prizes available. If you're in the Waterbury area and considering hosting a party at Lakewood Lanes, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a lovely spot to unwind, whether you're on a date or having a family gathering, making it a great alternative to going to the movies or visiting a park. The air conditioning keeps you cool in the summer heat, and the heating is excellent for winter. The atmosphere is enhanced with good music, and there’s plenty of space to relax. They also have video games, clean bathrooms, and a small sports bar area to enjoy.

I really love this place because I grew up coming here. They have great music and affordable prices. There's also a bar area with plenty of pool tables. They're the only ones in the area with consistent hours.
