The staff was very pleasant and the food was great. Inside was super clean, freshly painted with calm music playing. Visiting from NY and some other visitors recommended Berties. Definitely a must if your in Waterbury.

Yum and wow!! I’ve never had anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious from Bertie’s! This is what I’ve had from there so far: chicken soup, chicken foot soup, j chicken, and curry goat. All great; and I would have all of them again in a heartbeat.

Great Jamaican food! J chicken, oxtail, callaloo, cabbage salad and more. Nice clean place, a few tables for dining in, food to go. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'll be back, you should too

By far best Jamaican in the city maybe the state. Not only the flavor but the portions as well! J chicken is to die for!!!! Fall off the bone tender. Just amazing. EAT HERE! IM TELLING YOU!
