Sakura Sushi Japanese - Wasilla

We've been frequenting Sakura for years and used to really enjoy it. However, our last couple of visits have been disappointing. The service was almost nonexistent unless we asked for help. The sushi has tasted different, and unfortunately, not in a good way. I truly hope it returns to the wonderful restaurant we once loved. By the way, the salad that used to be served before meals was my favorite; it's a shame they no longer offer it.

Bad review. I'm not impressed. Food took so long to arrive (not sure if it's understaffed, hence the long wait , my Bulgogi had that burnt/chard taste to it, the fried rice was burnt (my kid ended up puking it out and we hadn't even made it out of the parking lot ??‍ . Our 2 orders of sushi rolls came way later after we had already ate our main course, and I was already ready to leave. Yeah, they were not good either. Needless to say, I'm not coming back, just not for me. I tend to try a restaurant three times, just not this time. For what we had and to pay over $100, it was not worth it.

The sushi was terrible it was soaked in some sort of solution that left a horrible taste in your mouth. I ordered the lunch sushi combo chiefs choice mind you this is nigiri style where the fish should taste like fish and not a roll. Each fish I tried tasted the same as the solution they soaked it in. I know of other sushi places that do this and it ruins the fish. They probably do this to preserve the fish or they are using poor quality of fish either way it doesn't taste like fish and it left a bad taste in my mouth!

Food here has been consistently great lately. Highly recommended all the sushi ?
