Some local Washingtonian friends took me here. Admittedly, I'd never stumble upon this spot on my own. It's in a cute little pocket. The food was outstanding. Specifically, I had the fish soup. It was a bowl, not a cup. It had plenty of beautiful and delicious fish and the broth... my God, amazing. The only thing I've encountered that came close was a fish soup off the coast of Iceland on the island of Heimay. I recognize that comparing an Icelandic fish soup to a Mexican fish soup may seem absurd, but it's a testament to the freshness of the fish and the strength of the broth. I've been here so many times (prior to the pandemic as well as during)when I come to DC .. They are my first choice. How can you not love a SWIRL lol 3 to levels of dining..outside covered seating and delicious food. This is one of our favourite place, everytime we are Washington, DC, we make it a point to visit the restaurant. The food is fantastic, and specially the warm Nachos with Salsa as they bring your ordered food is some thing amazing. The Frozen Swril Margarita and Sangria is always the best in class. We have never been disappointed (in spite of being a vegetarian) at this place. Have always enjoyed the food, drinks, ambience. Once should budget enough waiitng time, as the place is usually crowded, but can get the seat between 15-25 mins.
