Acqua Al 2 - Washington, D.C.

Came here on a recommendation from our Cinque Terre guide, Cris (Walkabout Florence Tours). It was great. I got the steak sampler and the blueberry steak and balsamic steak were fantastic. My wife got the pasta dish with avocado and pomegranates which was also delicious.

What can I say, the food and the atmosphere werw amazing! It was so good I forgot to take pictures of the food. Great restaurant for vegetarian options and had some amazing meat items in the menu. The food looks like its made with a lot of love and yummy yummy ingredients! The waiters are typically Italian and will help you with your wine choices. The decor makes you feel like your at a friends house.

I used to live in Italy and have been to the original location in Florence and was thrilled to hear that there was a location in DC too. I came in with high expectations and was not disappointed. The food was just as phenomenal as in Italy, and I can’t rave about it enough. The filet mignon with the blueberry reduction sauce was to die for! The service and food are top notch. This is probably the most authentic Italian food on the east coast.

Was a great atmosphere and good food. Only giving four stars because the chef screwed up my father’s steak three times. Asked for medium and it came out super pink more on the rare side. Not the best Father’s Day dinner but everyone has an off day. I may venture back I loved the lamb.

The restaurant is nice but the waiter was awkward and quite annoying. We ordered the filet mignon with blueberry compote, the sea bass, and the mushroom pasta dish. Everything was delicious but the star of the show was the fish. The handmade pasta is extremely expensive it's an additional $18 in addition to the cost of the plate...absurd. I would recommend to try it.
