Subway - Washington DC

Food portioning looked a little light. Service amongst staff was polite and cordial. Ambiance typical of any Subway. Problematic issue was Ownership. When they walked that morning, I was in direct line of sight of both owners. Not one of them greeted me but they did give me a look of disdain. I overheard the female owner ask an employee if I purchased anything. Which I did. The male Owner left and came back. During his absence, I made a second purchase. As he walked by me, he looked at me with disdain again. I had attempted to greet him but he just looked at me and walked away. I would give them a zero star if I could. There's tons of other places to eat in this area. Why give them your money if they can not give you a smile or a greeting. Their Loss.

11/19/22 I was feeling kind of shakey before getting something to eat. My blood sugar was 89 when I checked, but I wasn't feeling hi gry at the time. Luckily, Subway popped up next to a massage place and I decided to get something to eat. I noticed many of the names have changed for the sandwiches. Some are the same sandwiches with a new name, but if you don't like the choices, you can create your own. I saw a watermelon drink I like, but I got nearly a full cup before it was gone. This drink I found out is Monday through Friday. I listen to two of the ladies here as one of them doesn't speak a word of Spanish. This brings me back to the days of working at Marriott. The food hit the spot and I a feeling better. I am not sure if I am going to make it to the orginal massage place I wanted to visit, but visiting Crystal City is big when it comes to shops. What else will I discover?

They are not great about making fair Submarine sandwiches. I got so concerned, I contacted a friend in Ohio who works for Subway and asked what the porting is and they were underserving here! I repeatedly have to ask for more then I get the look. THE LOOK. I am sorry, if this was a $5 footlong, I would shut my face opening but it isn't! These **** subs are not cheap and you are giving me less than ever before. I want it my way! pour the lettuce on it like it is lake-effect snow. I am not coming here or ordering from here anymore. My turkey/ham delivery sub was so pathetic, I was afraid my friends would make fun of me for being taken advantage of so badly. Don't bother with Subway's customer service, they are as useful as a flat tire.

This Subway location is tucked away in a barren little shopping area just off the Crystal City Metro Station. Honestly, I don't know how some of these other places stay in business. It did end up being a fantastic shortcut to get from the Metro Station to right out on the sidewalk right next to Morton's Steakhouse, which coincidentally was right next to the CVS by our hotel! (This actually saves you a nice little stretch of walking! This was a great spot to grab some quick, cheap (relative to the area sustenance before jumping on the train to go exploring in DC! Most footlong subs were still under $10 each and would at least carry us through to lunchtime. I get the impression that this place is here for the construction workers and the office workers in the adjacent office buildings. Oh well, whatever. This ended up serving its purpose in being a place to get a good, solid bite at an affordable price. Service was a-ok. Don't expect anything over the top, but the staff was friendly and efficient on both of our visits. 3 stars.

This Subway is tucked away within the Crystal Plaza Underground. It is way in the back where you go through the entrance by Sweetgreen and Coldstone. Absolutely no way of knowing unless you were exploring. Despite the terrible location, it was pretty busy when I stopped by for lunch. Portions were fair, not generous. Overall quick, friendly, and the food lives up to expectations.
