Reliable Tavern - Washington DC

Thursday's comedy night was absolutely fantastic! Each comedian had me laughing, and the energy in the room was amazing. I really enjoyed my experience. I arrived just before 8 and was able to grab a great seat, but the venue filled up quickly after that. The bar is nice, though the drinks are on the pricey side, which is to be expected in a big city. If I lived here, I would definitely come back!

I attended the free underground stand-up show on Thursday night with my girlfriend, and it was our first visit to the venue. We were greeted warmly by the bouncer at the entrance, who even encouraged us to bring our own food, which was a nice touch! The show featured around 15 to 20 comedians, each performing for about five minutes. Most of the material was either brand new or being fine-tuned for paid performances, but overall, it was quite impressive. The comedians had a natural sense of humor and did a great job at reading the audience, which really made their jokes resonate. Some bits were hilarious, while others fell a bit flat, but the majority were definitely entertaining. I’d love to return, and I highly recommend checking it out!

Excellent cocktails at good prices. The bartenders are personable but polite. They also have great pool tables and a chill clientele. Great date spot. Love coming here.

They even chill some glasses with dry ice, showcasing their commitment to drink innovation. The atmosphere is great as well, featuring vintage hardware from the original store and a friendly doorman who checks IDs while chatting with regulars.
