Jam Doung Style - Washington DC

If you're looking for decent food but are okay with small portions, this might be the spot for you. My wife and I ordered the MEDIUM oxtail dinner for $16.60 each, along with two medium plantains and four cola champagnes through Postmates, and what we received was closer to a small portion. To say we felt disrespected and cheated would be an understatement; we definitely didn't get our money's worth. We ended up with more peas and rice, along with an abundance of cabbage, and just four tiny, fatty pieces of oxtail. This was unacceptable and quite disappointing.

I've come to this place multiple times to know that they're good, but I always forget to review them. They're a good Jamaican restaurant that serves good curry and Jerk Chicken and other good foods. My personal favorite is their Jerk Chicken platter with dark meat, rice and beans, and cabbage. The ONLY thing I wish they would include with the platter are just a few pieces of fried plantains, not a whole side to purchase for $3-$4 extra... But it's so good though.

The food was delicious and the environment was fantastic! We came for lunch and enjoyed every bit, and even bought some extra beef patties to take home. We?re not local to DC, but we?ll be sure to visit every time we?re in the area.

I want to begin by saying that I had heard great things about this restaurant, but unfortunately, this will likely be my first and last visit. For $62.30, I expect my order to be correct, but that wasn’t the case. My fiancé received the correct meal, but I ordered a combo with mac and cabbage and when I got home (a 35-minute drive), I found that I only received the oxtails and no jerk chicken. I attempted to call to address the issue, but of course, no one answered. My order number was A088 and it was placed under the name Jay.

I drove 21 mins to this place to get some food cause I heard that their food was good. Before I can even taste the food the first spoonful I took it was hair all through it. I go in to let the workers know the manager comes out and tells me to show her I told her that she can look for herself I asked her for a refund she denied it. Called the police when she could?ve just given me my money back . I didn?t even get to see how good the food was . I drove 21 mins just for nothing
