Me and my party enjoyed our time at the restaurant. They are clearly in a rebrand as it was hard to locate the establishment. The staff was very accommodating, especially Kiana who was very attentive. However my friends complained that the food didn't have any taste. They ordered the grits and catfish, grits and oxtails, and the salmon. The staff brought out new food but still lacked taste. Overall it was a good experience
Had a reservation for my bridal party well in advance just for them to be trying to make space and moving chairs around with a sitting over top of each other upstairs. Just to have us walk all the way back downstairs. By the time we finally got seated, WITH OUR PARTY SPLIT UP, they were out of almost everything on the menu. Would never recommend anyone go here especially for a special event or with a big party. Only thing nice was the music and a lady taking pictures. Even the servers attitude was trash.
I visited this past Saturday with two of my friends. When you walk in the ambiance is nice but that's about it. I order the shrimp and grits with curry potatoes; first the potatoes taste nothing like curry just plain ol home fries then the grits were so thick and gritty even the creole sauce they put on it didn't help and to top it off the food came out cold. Now to get on to the money part be careful because they don't tell you about all the hidden charges so make sure you get a receipt and check your bill twice. also make sure to pay with cash because they will charge your card extra and I'm not talking about for tip. The crazy thing is waiter seemed nice but I guess that was all for play she's a scammer. I will never give them my business at any location. It was getting no stars but yelp doesn't allow that.
Additionally, there are hidden fees. For example, the menu lists French toast at $26, but the bill charged us $27.40. The mimosa is priced at $30 on the menu but came to $31.60 on the bill. It's like every item has an extra dollar or two added on, and it really adds up—trust me! The service was mediocre and definitely not worth a $76 tip. The food was just okay; we only had French toast and mimosas—no chicken! Our total bill came to $280, which breaks down to $94 per person for just some bread and a glass of champagne. I won't be returning. I stress once again: be careful!
