Vendetta - Washington

I visited this restaurant with my family while on vacation in DC. We ordered four different dishes, and they were all fantastic. The server offered great recommendations, and everyone was very friendly. The place has a somewhat dim and dusty ambiance, possibly from the Bocce games, but it was definitely worth the visit.

New restaurants often need some time to find their footing, but after several weeks since the initial reviews, I can confidently say that our group had a fantastic experience at Vendetta. The service was warm and efficient, the food was delicious (particularly the small plates and appetizers), and the atmosphere was laid-back, making it ideal for a group gathering. Our party of seven enjoyed great food, Prosecco on tap, and plenty of bocce ball, creating a lively, festive vibe. Overall, we had an amazing time!

What a fantastic happy hour! They offer $1 off their already pricey beers, which is hard to resist. However, it's worth noting that they serve some delicious Southern food. Taco night and wing night are great deals for the H Street area.

I went to Vendetta for the Fall season of DC Bocce (indoor and I have to say that I love this place. The ambience is just right, the two courts play a bit differently, and the bartenders are great folks who really appreciate it when they see you having a great time. I've mostly gone during the week Monday through Wednesdays. It's definitely quiet, but I like that about it it's moderately well filled and quiet. I love the sign in sheets, the way the worn wood of the bar feels under my boots, and the glow of a place that's seen a lot of good times. Now, if only I could strike a deal with the guys to practice on the upstairs court every now and then with my team....

This restaurant was incorrectly listed as an Italian restaurant on Open Table. It had one pasta dish that I can remember and it came out tasting somewhat cold/old, the meatballs tasted as like they were purchased in bulk, frozen. Overall, slightly disappointed. This restaurant is much more of a dive bar. Ordered a glass of wine which certainly tasted like it had been from a bottle open behind the bar for a few days. Would not come here for a nice or even quiet dinner as many other patrons were very loudly playing the bocce and connect four games.
