The soup dumplings were incredibly juicy, with the perfect wrapper—not too thick or chewy, just right! The khachapuri was delightfully cheesy, so be prepared to share unless you're ready for a heavy dish. Everything on the Gobi platter, from pickles to dips, was outstanding. Plus, their fries, which are more like homemade style fries, were perfectly crispy and absolutely delicious.
The khachapuri was incredible, and the desserts were out of this world! If you plan to visit this restaurant, make sure to save room for dessert. The atmosphere is perfect for private and intimate conversations. We dined during restaurant week, where we enjoyed a three-course meal for just $40. Our meal included an appetizer, an entrée, and dessert. For the appetizer, we had corn fritters and roasted potatoes, while the entrée was a delightful roasted vegetable platter. For dessert, we savored a grape dessert and honey cake. I must applaud the restaurant for their stunning presentation; it was a joy to eat dishes that were so beautifully arranged. The vibrant colors and intricate details of each plate certainly made the experience worth every penny.
I’m Georgian and I approve!!!! Delicious Mtsvadi and Khinkali… exceeded my expectations! Better than many Georgian restaurants that are actually IN Georgia. Service was excellent as well. I only wish I was in the area more often so I could try all the other dishes. Thanks and best of luck!
Great place for trying Georgian food, even if it’s your first time! Big and well organized, the decoration both inside and outside is inviting! We tried the basic Georgian dishes, and service was helpful in recommending options. Dishes take a little time, so don’t rush it, just enjoy the food! Soup dumplings are a must (they’re big, maybe order the 3 piece not the 6), and Ajaruli is also a must!!!
I was disappointed by my experience at Supra DC. The service felt rushed and impersonal, as if they wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible. The personal was too loud. The food was not too bad, but it was not authentic Georgian either. They did not bring us any bread, which is a staple of Georgian cuisine and culture. When we asked for it, they charged us extra, which is unheard of in any other Georgian restaurant or Georgian culture (as a Georgian, it just did not feel right, i would rather be charged extra in some other dish to compensate for bread). The dishes lacked the flavor and freshness that I remember as a Georgian. It was a bland and overpriced imitation of a rich and diverse culinary tradition. This was not my first time at Supra and each time I come back, i find the situation worse and worse.
