Mr. Henry's - Washington

I was advised by the Arlington Cemetery guides that this was the best spot for food after my tour, and they were absolutely right! I had a fantastic meal at a place that may not appear impressive, but it has been part of DC’s history for a long time. My dish was delicious, served hot, and fresh, making me feel like I truly got my money's worth for once! The staff was friendly, and my waitress did an excellent job. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and the brownie dessert – so tasty! They also have nightly specials, a bar, and more.

My boyfriend and I visited the DC area and were recommended to try Mr. Henry's. As music enthusiasts, we absolutely adored the live musicians and Dominique Bianco's performance! Our server, Pat, was incredibly sweet and even offered us a dessert since our food took a bit longer to prepare (but we hardly noticed because the jazz show was so captivating!). I highly recommend the steak; it was delicious! We will definitely be back to Mr. Henry's!

I ordered the seafood platter, which seemed appealing at first, but when it was served, I was quite disappointed. It was missing the fried oysters, which was frustrating. The ambiance also felt old, dark, and dingy, and overall, I wasn't impressed. On a positive note, the waiter was great. I honestly don't understand why this place has such high reviews; I found them to be misleading.

We visited this restaurant for jazz night on Wednesday and were instantly charmed by the warm hospitality of the staff and the vibrant atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the drinks were outstanding. We requested to take the leftover food home, and they even prepared a fresh portion for us to go! Amazing service! Just make sure to arrive early for jazz night, as it tends to get quite busy.
