Mount Desert Island Ice Cream

I visited with my family and tried the vegan cereal milk flavor, which was fantastic! It’s some of the best vegan ice cream I've ever tasted!

The ice cream in DC isn't the best, but it was still enjoyable. I tried the cookies and cream flavor, which tasted good, but the texture was a bit crumbly. However, the blueberry basil sorbet was fantastic!

The ice cream flavors are both delicious and creative! They offer a great selection of classic favorites along with some exciting new options to explore. I do wish there were a few more dairy or lactose-free choices, but they usually have 3 to 4 options available, which is more than many other ice cream shops provide.

I would place this ice cream shop above Ice Cream Jubilee but below Jenni’s. The flavors aren’t as unique as some people suggest (I mean, who isn’t offering a salted caramel ice cream these days?), but what they serve is definitely tasty. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, especially the chocolate—many cheaper brands skimp on the cacao, but here it stands out. However, I did find the texture to be just a bit off. It's clear that I enjoy my ice cream, and I would definitely come back for more.
