Le Sel - Washington

The food and service were both exceptional! Very creative pairings of flavors, and very well-prepared. All of the service personnel were extremely attentive, and seemed to genuinely care about giving their customers an enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend.

The service was the worst I’ve had so far in the US. We asked for duck and received pork ! because the restaurant ran out of duck, so they brought us a pantry of pork salami without asking. The service was extremely poor and impolite, we waited an hour to get our food and the waiter did not even apologize. We were far from finishing our meal when she brought us the bill which contained items we did not order. She talked to us in an extremely rude way.

Escargots Disappoint at Le Sel While the steak/frites and duck were enjoyable, the escargots at Le Sel were a major letdown. They tasted like they came straight from a frozen box, and the overall quality was subpar. Additionally, my lentils were lukewarm, which was a frustrating dining experience. Despite the decent steak and duck, the disappointing escargots and lukewarm lentils make Le Sel an unlikely choice for a memorable meal. Unless you're in the immediate vicinity, there are better restaurants worth seeking out.

The ambiance was fantastic. Drinks were delicious. Food was good but not out of this world. Service was great

Advertised as a Beaujolais Nouveau event and they served a Fleurie. . Trout looked and tasted like salmon, French bread disappointing, escargot not traditional and no shell holder, made Kir Royale with rose champagne, Crème brûlée was unrecognizable. Never again.
