La Cabana Mexican - Washington

We chose to eat at this restaurant on a Wednesday because there were limited options open mid-week, aside from some fast food places. We arrived early around 5pm and found the restaurant to be mostly empty. The margaritas were delicious and the chips and salsa were decent. However, the entrees were only average. My wife ordered enchiladas with salsa verde, but found them to be unspectacular after only eating half. I ordered tacos (carnitas) and found the shells to be greasy as if they had been fried in old oil. I only finished one of the three tacos and had to eat the filling with a fork for the last two tacos. With limited options in the city, especially mid-week, we may consider returning, but I would definitely be more cautious with my order next time.

The small margaritas were $5, but during happy hour they were $4.75. Unfortunately, they tasted like water. They were the worst margaritas I have ever had. Why even offer them during happy hour? I would have preferred to drink a cooler beer in the back of my truck.

I had a great time celebrating my oldest grandchild's 8th birthday at this restaurant! The food was both delicious and fun.

The place in hardwell and washington are simply the hands down amazing. always eat food quality and good size portions. they get a jumbo, they are not shy about adding the tequila to him

Second trip in two months. First ordered the chicken taco salad. Was the blandest two salad of my life.This trip I order a full order of Texas nachos and it was smaller than the small nachos I've bought everywhere else. Very disappointing. I'd rather drive 20 extra miles to Thomson to get decent Mexican food.
