Eye Street Grill - Washington

This restaurant offers delicious food and an extensive menu. Everything we tried was incredibly flavorful. In addition to a food bar, they also had a sandwich bar. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy tasty meals at reasonable prices.

I absolutely love this place! I was in the building for a couple of days for meetings and ended up eating here three times—twice for lunch and once for breakfast. It can get quite busy, especially during lunchtime. They offer a wide range of options, including a salad bar, a hot buffet, and made-to-order hot and cold sandwiches. For breakfast, they have made-to-order sandwiches and a hot buffet as well. They also feature daily lunch specials. I tried the chicken cheesesteak with fries, and it was fantastic. On another occasion, I opted for the hot lunch buffet and had no complaints about any of the items I tried. I also had a simple sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich; while it was a basic offering, it was still quite good. There are plenty of dining options in the area, but I wouldn’t hesitate to return here when I’m back.

The breakfast buffet is fantastic, featuring perfectly scrambled eggs and a selection of seven different meats, all for a reasonable price of just $8.99. I highly recommend it!

As for my meal, it was quite disappointing. When I went to pay, the staff member confronted me angrily, insisting I should have paid before eating. I explained that I had never dined there before and wasn’t aware of their policy. She informed me that they charge by weight for food, and when I mentioned my order (a salad and four chicken wings), I was stunned by the total of $46 for my meal, along with my son's turkey and cheese sandwich and two drinks. This pricing is outrageous! I have no intention of returning to this restaurant, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Save your money and visit a food truck or another option where you'll likely enjoy better food and friendlier service at a more reasonable price.

I stopped off for coffee and ended up having a really good lunch instead. The Asian buffet has so many good choices and you can get exactly what you want and pay by weight. My lunch, including a large lemonade, was $17.48. Nice people, casual no-frills atmosphere.Food: 5/5
