We were quite disappointed and puzzled as to why the server didn’t inform us about the portion size, especially since we specified we were new to the restaurant and wanted to share an appetizer. While the queso was delicious, its size meant that neither of us could truly enjoy it; we could only muster a few tiny bites with some tortilla chips. I don't understand why it’s even labeled an appetizer given its size, so I recommend ordering the larger size if you're dining with more than one person. On a more positive note, the chili-rita was excellent and had a nice heat to it. I love mezcal and spicy drinks, so it was right up my alley. For dinner, I had the mole enchiladas with carnitas, while my friend ordered three tacos (fish, shrimp, and chicken). We both enjoyed our meals; the mole was particularly good with a rich chocolate undertone, and my friend also liked their tacos. One more thing to note: the three tacos for $11 are only the same kind; this wasn’t clear until we received the bill, which struck us as odd. This should definitely be clarified on the menu and when ordering. Despite these hiccups, we enjoyed our visit overall. The atmosphere was nice, the service was generally good, and our meals were quite satisfying. I would definitely consider coming back.
We really wanted to enjoy this restaurant since we love many of the places in the area, but it turned out to be a disappointing experience. We ordered four tacos and the veggie enchiladas with green sauce. While the sauce on the enchiladas was tasty, I was surprised by how little was actually inside (as shown in the pictures). For $14, I expected more than just a few slices of avocado and a few pieces of red and green peppers. The rest of our order also fell short—average chips, mediocre salsa, and tiny tacos. We won’t be coming back, and I’ll be letting others know to steer clear as well.
We usually dine at Mezcalero, Habanero, or Anafre when we go uptown, but we decided to give Corazon a try, and we were pleasantly surprised! Everything, from the design of the building and the interior to the service, food, and drinks, was top-notch. The Turkish margarita was especially amazing! We're definitely coming back for more.
We were looking for a place for tacos and we found a good place! margaritas where really good and when they go during the brunch hours, they are $7! tacos were amazing! they are little but so delicious! our server recommended the sudadero tacos and we are so glad that we have 6 of them! meat was super delicate, juicy, delicious! we also ordered churros (they where I got a photo) they are what I think the og of my childhood they have the caramel inside and give them an additional page for extra diving
Unfortunately, im not sure I understand the high rating for this place. I guess if you like corn tortillas, maybe... since It's cute and charming but, the corn tortillas for every dish. I just couldn't deal. We tried chips and salsa, the green salsa was ok, the reddish orange salsa was the worst tasting salsa I've ever had. I should've stopped there. But, I also had a veggie quesadilla and my friend had vegetarian tacos. Basic items. Completely missed the mark. My friend was underwhelmed and wasn't a fan of the blue corn tortillas either. However, we both shared an appreciation for the great service. Unfortunately, it's not enough for me to return.
