It was a lot of people so that everyone was very close together so ready to be close. The food looked fantastic that came to other tables, but we were only there for the drinks. Even if it was packed, our drinks came out quickly. The waiter/bartender was very attentive. I want to go back and try the food. The rum drinks on board behind the bar in very cool cups. My friends ordered them and I got a margarita. My margarita was a little drunk, but I just ordered another shot and it was paving.
Copycat deserves all the stars. Yes, the room is tight. You will probably have to wait for a table and while you wait, you will likely be shoulder to shoulder with other people. Never mind. The vibe is welcoming, beautiful music and crown is diverse. Drinks are delicious, cheap and there are tons of options, but the bartenders can do everything. The food's up. Did not have a bad dish and I recommend the fried ribs. One of my favorite spots .
Truly enjoyed this spot. It's a bit small inside. A party three or more will have a slight struggled finding a spot. However, when you find a spot you're good to go. I tried the wontons and the crab fried rice. Both were amazing. A little spicy but I like spice so I was good. I also dried four drinks. Can't remember what they were but all were tasty. I also like the concept that anyone and help you. It ensured we were helped quickly. A must H St spot.
I've had this on my list of restaurants to visit for such a long time ! Today we went to tour the White House for the holidays (it was gorgeous) and since the restaurant was only 15 minutes away , this was the perfect time!Location/Space/Decor: Well, it's DC so street parking it is. We were lucky to find parking right in front of the restaurant although we missed it. This is another restaurant whose signage isn't very intuitive. You'll see the name of the restaurant on the door but the color of the sign blends in with the colors of the door making it difficult to make out. The doors open up to stairs with lights. Very dark walk up the stairs leading to a small space with warm decor and lighting. The space is definitely pretty small which means it will get packed very quickly.Food and drinks: I offered a Thai Tikki and boy it was strong . It did not disappoint. We ordered quite a few things:Potstickers (Triple delight): these were delicious. Nicely cooked with a crunch and fresh to order like all other items that came out. Pan-Fried Bao (Pork and scallion): these were yummy but not what I expected. I was expecting them to be like others I've had that are warm and a tad bit on the sweet side and fluffy. These were savory and the filling was more of that of their dumplings. They were super yummy just not what I was expecting .Skewers (Chicken and porkcheeks): skewers were all delicious. We ordered all of the spicy and they were seasoned perfectly . Not too spicy at all. Fried Rice (Crab): this was delicious . The rice was fluffy and super tasty. It was perfectly seasoned but one thing we weren't expecting that was a nice surprise, it was spicy! The rice was spicier than the skewers to be honest. I do think the restaurant is on the pricey side. Skewers you get (4) pieces not bad but $24, (4) Bao Buns also $24, crab fried rice $24 (not a huge portion at all but it was fine for (2) since we had other items), and (10) Potstickers were $20. Our total bill was about $130 (Tikki drink was $17). I do think that everything was made to order and super fresh.Overall it was a cool experience and it was a cozy small place. If I'm in the DC area, I'd stop by again. Try it out and let me know what items you taste and what you rate it!
I love this place absolutely. The food is delicious, the cocktails perfectly cured and balanced, the service friendly and efficient. It's a tiny location, so get early.
