Clyde's Of Gallery Place - Washington

The atmosphere and staff were quite good. The squash entree was delicious. However, I regrettably experienced some digestive issues about an hour afterward.

Clyde's is an institution. The service and food was impeccable. DC must do better addressing homeless citizens who approach the pattons in the vicinity.

Clyde's was a spontaneous choice for us. While the food wasn't outstanding, the atmosphere was pleasant. The nachos were definitely the highlight of the meal. I ordered the shrimp scampi, but it was quite dry, so I ended up just eating the shrimp and leaving the noodles. My daughter had the shrimp and grits, and she also found it lacking; she left a good amount on her plate. The service was average, but our waitress appeared somewhat frustrated when a few members of our group changed their orders.

The food is good, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. While it may not offer anything extraordinary, it's definitely worth a visit if you're not in the mood for five-star fine dining.

The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding, but the noise level was excessive due to the cramped arrangement of too many tables in a space that was meant to resemble a second-floor porch. I really enjoy Clyde’s, but I would choose to avoid this particular area and its nearby tables during my next visit.
