Blue Bottle Coffee - Washington

The staff at the cafe are extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and well-lit. I had a wonderful experience.

The prices are steep, but the quality is impressive. However, is it really necessary to spend $18 on a 14 oz latte with an extra shot and an almond croissant? While I felt indulged, I also felt a bit taken advantage of. The staff seemed more focused on their loud conversations with each other than on attending to the (few) customers, which made the experience feel less worthwhile. The high ceilings gave the place a somewhat cavernous feel, and it was a bit too chilly for my liking. There are certainly better options within walking distance. On the plus side, the music was enjoyable. For context, I’ve visited several Blue Bottle locations in California.

If I were to grab coffee at Blue Bottle in D.C. near the waterfront, I would definitely prefer this location over the one in Georgetown. The M St. location is always packed with a mix of workers and visitors chatting away. In contrast, this spot has a more relaxed, local atmosphere with a small outdoor seating area, and it's exceptionally clean inside, even though it's not as spacious as the Georgetown location. While you won't get a view of the water, you'll likely see some seagulls! This place has a nice Wharf/Brooklyn vibe.

Surprisingly expensive coffee for a non sizable portion, WiFi is horrendously bad. What’s happening to the world! Not the greatest cafe, but with coffee shops barring laptop usage entirely gobsmacking! it’s not beyond the pale (yet). I prefer the Georgetown location. Location and ambience is good.

Bad service, cashier never asked about whether I wanted a cold or hot coffee she just gave a cold coffee. It happened to the previous customer as well. To expensive for receiving something I did not ask for and bad attention $7+ dollar
