Victoria Hotel - Warrnambool

Good location only moments from some excellent restaurants and eateries and a lazy walk of a few minutes to the Main Street and shops. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment - small tho adequate with a sitting area and kitchenette. A garage to park your car, which was nice. Front desk were friendly and helpful. A solid three star venue (beware that if someone is staying in an apartment above you, it can be noisy as you hear their footsteps from below)

The hotel's location is ideal to explore. Clean rooms with everything you'd need: clean beds, TV, fridge. Pub with plenty of light, with a large fire. The food was fresh with good portion with a diverse menu. A big thanks to Michael and all the staff. Could not have had a better time. I was accommodated on short notice and they gave me the red carpet service. Save room for dessert! Nice environment as well. There is an extensive menu plus a very good wine list at reasonable prices. Vegetables and salad bar were fresh and delicious. The friendliness of the girls and their service was a joy to behold.This is the place to go for a great meal,quiet place with great food & friendly staff.This hotel is strongly supported by the locals and it is easy to see why. I had the Arrancini Balls, a pleasant delight as they're not usual pub fare. Didn't try the salad bar but service was quick, very nice staff, I'd definitely recommend based on my meal.

Was staying in the motel down the road and after an all day trip in the bus was gagging for a cold beer. This is not a fancy pub, but a locals pub and it was very friendly. The bar is not that big inside. The staff were very friendly and the beer icy cold, what more could you ask for. There is a small restaurant at the back of the bar. I did not eat there but some of my fellow travellers did and they said the food was pretty good.

We stumbled on this place on Australia Day. We probably wouldn't have ventured inside but nothing else seemed to be open. Had we not gone in we would definitely have missed something - good beer, friendly staff and local "colour". Well worth a visit.
