Went in for a quick one. Not changed much which is a good thing. You don't see many pubs anymore. I went in the early afternoon, it was quite with a few customers. Great atmosphere and very relaxing.
Yesterday afternoon, my family and I stopped at this restaurant after a long bike ride. We all felt we had definitely earned a pint of ale! We were pleasantly surprised to hear that they had started serving food over the weekend. We ordered a variety of dishes including soft shell tacos, nachos, fish cakes, veggie spring rolls, loaded fries, and halloumi fries (the best I have ever had anywhere!). We were extremely impressed with the food, service, and staff. This pub is great, and if you happen to be passing through Lymm on the Trans-pennine pass, I highly recommend stopping by!
Four of us stopped at this restaurant while cycling on the Trans Pennine Trail. The owners recently took over the establishment and started serving food just a day before our visit. We received a very warm welcome and decided to have lunch in the beer garden. The menu consists of tapas-style dishes and we ordered a total of 10 dishes, all of which were good-sized portions and delicious. Despite there only being one keg ale available at the moment, there are a total of 3 hand pumps, along with a selection of lagers and pressure pumps. There was a small issue with the till charging slightly different amounts than those printed on the menu, but the staff quickly rectified the mistake and apologized. Overall, we had a positive experience and will definitely be returning as a regular stop on our cycling trips along the trail.
This was my first time at this restaurant on a late Friday afternoon. The lounge had a nice real fire glowing, creating a cozy atmosphere. We originally just stopped in for a drink and found a good selection to choose from. After playing a few games of pool, we chatted with some of the friendly locals before leaving. This is not a pub for the trendy crowd, but rather a good old-fashioned pub.
