Been going there for years. Best BBQ I ever had. The best.

This place is nothing short of amazing. Whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner you can't go wrong. When you walk in you can tell its a down to earth home-style BBQ. Two brothers that waited on me had me wondering how my service was going to turn out but they were suprisingly great, they worked quickly and were very polite and they were joking around the whole while of getting my order together. I came in the following morning to find the owners of the BBQ cooking breakfest and they were the nicest people you could ever meet. You can definitely tell its a family style restaurant. The food was great and service was great and I wish I had more stars to rate this great BBQ place.

Moved to Virginia from Texas and was looking for a great bbq restaurant. For ten years I looked in vain.Then one day I spotted a place on the main road between two bigger towns. The letters read BBQ COUNTRY. I decided to give it a try. As I walked up to the establishment I could smell that great smokey flavor ,a smell I have not had the pleasure to partake in for 10 years. I walked up to the counter and asked the owner Dennis what did he have to offer me, and I explained the situation I had been in. What I got was a big smile, and the words you are about to partake of the best bbq you have ever had in your life! Let me tell you folks, that was far and away the best bbq I had ever eaten. I was so hooked on such a great product, that I started coming there numerous times a week and even sometimes twice a day. I recommend this establishment to each and every one of you. I have since moved back to Texas and can not find a bbq restaurant that compares to BBQ COUNTRY! When I come back to visit my car will go straight where I program it, and that is BBQ COUNTRY!I wish Dennis and his crew much success, and hope to see you soon. Excellent food reasonable prices plenty of truck parking

Having moved nearby, we finally made a visit. It 's an unassuming location, but don 't let that discourage a try. I went with a large, pork sandwich, spicy sauce, with the baked beans as my side. One downside, they turn off the deep fryers a bit early since we got there maybe around 7:30p, they 're open until 9p, but the guy at the counter said they usually turn off the fryer at 7p. Good to note for the future for fries or onion rings. For the pork, they take a large handful from a shoulder and do a rough chop. Personally, I like the texture a lot more this way. Sandwich was really good, the smoke flavor was a bit light, but the texture of the meat was perfect. It 's not TOO tender and has the right bit of bite to it. Beans were good. Not sure if they 're homemade, but they do doctor it a bit since there was definitely minced onions added in which have a nice texture as well. I 'm interested in going back to try their other meats.
