I decided to dine here based on other reviews and visited in the middle of a busy lunch hour on a Saturday. The parking lot was packed, but I was able to find a seat at the counter and was warmly welcomed. The restaurant has expanded since the original photos were taken, with a lot more space to relax and enjoy the eclectic country-style décor, including local artwork and bric-a-brac. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. This is a must-visit spot if you are passing through Sudbury on your way to Sturgeon Falls or anywhere else for that matter. There is a wide range of options on the menu, including the popular liver and "wobble," but I opted for the French toast, which was tasty. The only thing missing for me was cream cheese, but it was not a big deal. They also offer freshly baked goods and homemade cakes that looked tempting. I couldn't resist looking at them with longing and wished I could take some home. I absolutely loved this place and would definitely return for another visit!
This restaurant appears to have recently been renovated. The food portions are generous and the service is excellent. After your meal, you can explore and shop for locally sourced beef and pork. They also sell candles and other items. This is a fantastic spot for a family outing and I highly recommend it.
I have visited this restaurant frequently and have always enjoyed the food and service. I recently found out that they support the freedom convoy, which I confirmed by looking at their Facebook page. Unfortunately, that has made me decide to no longer patronize this establishment. Although the staff are nice, I cannot support any organization that aligns with views that do not fit with my vision of Canada. Best wishes to the restaurant.
Stopped in for lunch on our long drive from Sault Ste Marie to Ottawa. Will definitely be making this an annual visit! Food was delicious- the carrots came from Kate's garden! Great people! Beautiful building! Clean bathrooms.
