U-Nautic Restaurant & Pension - Waren

While the atmosphere during our visit was quite cozy, the quality of the food served lacked a bit finesse. Generous portions could be a real pleasure if too much salt and over cooked fish and veggies would not spoil the experience.

We just happened upon this restaurant and decided to eat there. They didn't have a menu in English but the waitress spoke beautiful English and translated all the dishes for us. The food was prepared very aesthetically and tasted wonderful. the service was superb. Its not cheap but well worth the money. We eat there in the evening when most of the shops were closed so its quiet and we sat outside, during the day its a very busy pedestrian only street with hundreds of people milling about so I would expect it wouldn't be particularly nice sitting outside. In the evening it was very romantic and tasty.

The traditional family run German pension/restaurant is still alive and well. One night's spontaneous stay at U-Nautic became two with a desire for more if time had allowed. From the friendly and exceptionally helpful hosts to the comfortable clean room and delicious food, there was nothing to fault.
