Vincent’s Steakhouse - Wantagh

Moderately most expensive steakhouse, which was somewhat too bright, but had excellent service. menu and steak choices were above average. the food was good. the prices were very good. went with 3 friends and everyone got another cut with 2 small sides, 2 drinks (not the best old fashion) each and an app. $100pp with pointed. great overall value. I would go back.

The waitress was clearly overwhelmed (I know businesses are short staffed). We didn’t order drinks for almost 15-mins after being seated. Then my husband got his beer and my cocktail came around 10-mins after. The appetizers we ok. We ordered a salad and a spicy shrimp dish. My husband ordered the porterhouse medium, it came out small, and a step up from raw. It was so undercooked, it was purple. I ordered the short rib. It was 90% fat. I think I had 2 bites of meat. Essentially paid to eat potatoes and a vegetable. We even overheard heard the couple next to us complain about their short rib order being mostly fat and inedible too. We didn’t send them back because we feared we would be waiting too long to get our food again. After bringing out the check, and a weird long wait, they did remember to bring birthday cake out for my husband (which I included on the reservation). Even paying the bill took close to 30-mins. We like to try new places, but for the amount of money we were charged, we’d rather spend it somewhere else. Somewhere we’re getting what we’re paying for. I really don’t think we will be returning.

Everything was excellent. The service was impeccable the food was delicious!! We are definitely going back again
