We walked into a cafe with great ambience and were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel instantly welcomed. My wife and I both had the “bacon and egg roll and cuppa” combo and were delighted with the perfect loaded roll full with the extra addition of hash browns on a soft yet lightly toasted Turkish roll. The coffee was perfect and we will definitely return on our next visit to Geelong! The moral of the story, always listen to the suggestions from an Irish tradie, especially when it’s a sharp dressed, fluoro-wearing lady!
Visited mid week with friends, all meals were all well presented and lovely to eat.Wine was at a very reasonable price, service great and at the end of the meal a very pleasant surprise. All meals were billed at half price.
Had lunch with hubby and it was half price meals. Decent serves and very nice food. Hubby had eye fillet, $19) it was beautiful and I had grilled fisherman’s platter $17). Also nibbled on some battered onion rings, they were fresh and crispy and not oniony at all. Can’t go wrong with that! Staff were friendly and attentive and genuinely seemed to want you to enjoy your experience there. Meals were served promptly. Nice coffee too as was the setting. Would recommend. Looking forward to trying the high tea on a Friday for $20
I thought the cafe had a nice ambience in this older style building. Staff friendly and helpful. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday lunches were two for the price of one (I am still unclear if 1/2 price each or highest priced one but it applies to main meal only). There is also a very generous seniors discount every day (but not on wine). I thought it was pretty good value. They weren’t open Easter Monday but were open Easter Tuesday. I chose one of the specials: a chicken and leek pie and a glass of wine. My husband chose the fish and chips with coffee but probably was more tempted with the fisherman’s basket. I’d say the meals were at good classy pub standard. We enjoyed the meal, liked the service and the building.
This is a great opportunity to see amateur photography at its best. There is a young photographer section that is particularly inspiring particularly for the less than confident amongst us. Well worht the effort.
