The restaurant was clean and modern, and the staff were attentive. What I was not prepared for however was the portions. There is no way one person can possibly finish the amount of food they bring you. The food was good, but there was so much of it.
If you have food allergies, beware! The servers are quite busy and therefore not forthcoming. The menu doesn't give you details of ingredients. We had two folks with shellfish allergies, and due to quick thinking on the part of one member of our party (who ASKED the waiter directly), a crisis was averted. The people who work there are nice, but the service is very, very slow.
We had the Takeaway (Para Llavar) menu that had about 10x options. We had 2 chicken dishes, the fried rice was fine, but the chicken and the sauces were a bit whack. Not sure if simply peruvian taste? If you are looking for typical Western Chinese takeout, there are better spots.
Stop for dinner. Menu is extensive and food came out quickly. Chickens and beans were edible, but nothing special.
I was determined to try Chifa as soon as I arrived to Peru, and this restaurant was recommended by our hotel as the best Chifa in Cusco. It was on the hill and over the busy Avenida del Sol, and seems to be a great local favorite place. The interior is large and clean. The service is okay, a little slow, but not rude. Make sure you speak well Spanish as the menu is complete in Spanish. While this is not necessarily a tourist place, it should not deter an adventurous traveller! The food was good and very different from your typical Peruvian restaurant.
