The Spice Room - Wanaka

I came here with a friend and had the spice room dal which was delicious. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. Although they don't offer many vegan options (maybe 3 currys) i would recommend to eat here.

Such delicious vegan cuisine, everything had so much taste and the waiter was so knowledgeable what could be made vegan or not. Will definitely return

This place has the 2nd best dal makhani I have ever eaten! The first one being in Mumbai. So, for a restaurant tucked away in a quiet little town in NZ to have such authentic tasting dal makhani was a huge surprise! It's rich and creamy just the perfect meal to have after a full day hike in the rain. As with restaurants in NZ, it'll take a while for your food to come out. I honestly think that's a good thing because it's a sign that things are being made fresh after you've placed the order. If you want a decent Indian meal in Wanaka, this is the place for it!
